Cisco Meneses, owner and founder of Fire Escape Services, got his start in the industry working for his father at their family business, Meneses Ironworks. After operating his own ironworks company in Newton, MA for many years he decided to branch out into the Fire Escape business after having had the idea in his mind for some 25 years. Fire Escape Services is the first company in New England that deals exclusively with Fire Escape Repair and Inspection and since then he has pioneered the way for other similar companies to enter into his industry. He has improved the way Fire Escapes are inspected and repaired and created the first digital Fire Escape Report.
Fire Escape Services has been instrumental in changing the attitudes of city officials all over the US and Canada through education regarding lack of maintenance and certification protocols for Fire Escapes at the state and federal level. His involvement with channel 7 news in Boston helped disclose to the public that 80% of the Fire Escapes in Massachusetts would not pass inspection in their current condition. He also changed Fire Escape awareness in Rhode Island, which currently has no inspection laws for Fire Escapes.
